Animated Films #1: Because we still love animation as adults
K-so don;t want to sound like a total dork-but do you all watch animation movies? I loved finding Nemo-and although I admit my cousin has already asked me to see Home on the Range-I'm still looking forward to seeing it.
The humor translates to adults too-which makes me feel good about going to see it.I hope it does well at the box office, since the commercials I've seen are hialrious! Last edited by atwoodsmariano; 03-18-2020 at 03:07 PM |

I don't watch many animation movies, but there are a few that I like.
My favourite animation movie ever is Le Roi et L'oiseau. It's definitely not just a movie for children. I also liked AntZ a lot. I adore Woody Allen's voice. __________________

And don't forget Japanese animation, like Spirited Away and Akira, both of which I thought were fantastic.
Sure, I'll watch most films, and animation, regardless of who the film is aimed at, is often very interesting. And of course, I have a long standing tradition with my grandmother to watch anything animated by Disney (her favorite, along with James Bond!). __________________

A few; the trailer or word-of-mouth (or text) has to really grab me.

The Triplets of Belleville animation technique reminds me of old school Disney -- like The Rescuers and 101 Dalmatians. I'll have to check it out; after watching the Oscars and seeing the clips it did look interesting.
I love animated movies, esp. anything by Disney, or Disney/Pixar (whose partnership is no more because of that bastard Michael Eisner... ) -- they can do no wrong in my eyes. I also like computer animated flicks, like the opening scene in The Animatrix or Final Fantasy...very cool. Anime is awesome too -- I don't know all the names, but I love the ones with the guys that have pointy ears and long hair and long coats and long swords and they're really tall...as you can see I have a way with words, but they're just long in general, and it looks so awesome. DBZ gets my vote too; luuurrrve that one. I am Trunks' bitch. |

I adored Finding Nemo. I've seen it like three times now and it always makes my cry. I also love Studio Ghibli animation like Spirited Away, Totoro (sp?). I don't see animation as anything dorky. They can be just as moving as any real life films. Take a look at Grave of the Fireflies. I could only watch it once because it really is thought provoking and depressing. A brilliant anti war film if ever I saw one.

I personally think Animated Film is much better than live action, but I was raised on cartoons and never seemed to grow out of it. People think it's weird that a 20 year old is obsessed with Disney, but I just think that company is FANTASTIC! They can't put a foot wrong. Lion King would be my favourite. I even have a top 10 list and number one spot is both LOTR and The Lion King. I can't decide which one is better. I have debates about this all the time, but I just love them all.

I definitely watch and enjoy animated movies. I've loved watching Disney movies since I was little and I still enjoy them just about as much today.
My favorite Disney animated movie is probably Beauty and the Beast. And my fave non-Disney one is Anastasia. <--- I just that movie. |

Not really. I have a hard time watching animated characters in movies. I can watch cartoons all day but strangely I don't feel the same way about animated movies. I can like them, but getting me to watch one it's the difficult task.
I love Fantasia, though. And Alice in Wonderland but those are classics. __________________

Not all, but that goes the same for any other type of film. The story or concept has to interest me.
There's several animated movies that I adore, though. Shrek, Finding Nemo, Lion King, Aladdin, etc... __________________
