I like true crime stories. The older the better. I wish the movie made about The Black Dahlia case had been based more on fact rather than fiction.

I agree about "Black Dahlia" Nicola!

I did like the version with Scarlett Johansson, Josh Hartnett and Aaron Eckhart, it was a good story, most was true to the evidence except suspects in the cast etc. It was good entertainment.

I enjoy historical Biopics as well. Some of my favourites have been "Elizabeth" starring Cate Blanchett and more recently, the Hungarian Countess, Ezerbet Bathory aka 'The Blood Countess. I've found two films about her on Netflix, one that was written and produced and stars Julie Delphy, and a second starring Anna Friel. Both were well done, but what to decide is fact or fiction is difficult. Most intriguing stories.

That's a great one. The sequel was good too. "Aviator" starring Leo DiCaprio is another good biopic.

I loved "The Social Network" and "Schilder's List".
Also I liked The Imitation Game, The Last Emperor (one of the greatest movies ever IMO), La Vie en Rose, Gandhi & 12 Years a Slave.
I'm going to see also The Downfall

I never thought of The Social Network as a history movie....but it is. Great list. I still need to see Imitation Game. Last Emperor is one of the greatest, for sure!

La Vie En Rose was superb! I really loved that one as well.

I didn't get the hype with The Social Network it was just okay for me.

Social Network was such a great cerebral film that went into jealousy, back stabbing from that, tests of friendship and the birth of a billionaire! Plus, Trent Reznor's music for it was so outstanding!

La Vie En Rose was majestic!

Social Network is a biopic... and I think one of the greatest movies of 2010's. Imitation Game is highly recommended...Alan Turing's story is very touching.
