Flight Plan (2005) #1

I'm so pleased that Jodie Foster's in a film again! I'd heard she'd sworn off acting for directing and I was disappointed.

I've loved her since her childhood Disney days (we're almost the same age), but I don't really care for her "earnest" films - you know, like the uber-crap Nell. What an awful film.

But I love her in thrillers! She's so believeable - desperate yet capable under pressure. Go, Jodie!

Anyone else looking forward to this film?

I'm really looking forward to this film. It looks great.

Jodie was great in the Panic Room, so, I'm sure she'll be even awesome in this one.

Yeah, I saw the trailer a couple of times. My kind of movie. I hope it's good like Panic Room and not blah like The Forgotten.

I agree with both of you - I loved The Panic Room and hope this is similar. I thought it was surprsingly suspenseful and inventive (The Panic Room), and Jodie Foster totally pulled it off.

Also - definitely my kind of film.

Yeah, I like movies where most of it take place in an enclosed area. A room. A house. A plane. It's fun to see how people react when placed in a situation where things are happening and you are stuck there and have to use whatever's available to get out of the situation. In addition, it's also fun to see how people change within a short period of time because of what's happening. Reason why I liked Red Eye too.

Did you see the longer trailer?

It gives a little more of a glimpse into the movie, but not too much. Gets you even more excited!

I saw it on the DVD I rented today - can't.freakin'.WAIT. Even my grandmother was excited by it (she likes Jodie Foster, too).

But we won't see it in the theater so I have to wait until it comes out on DVD...

WHy not in the theater?! I am actually really excited to see it on the big screen since that plane is just so huge! I think it will be really cool to see it on the huge movie screen!

Actually, that's a good point. The trouble is that my grandmother doesn't like to go out at night and my schedule's so tight a weekend matine's usually out of the question. But since we have a car now it'll be easier, so maybe I'll convince her to go...
