True. Fincher himself said that when it first came out, critics just bashed it, and the viewers who only came to watch it were expecting violence, not deep narratives about feelings.

Which makes it that much more of a spectacular film. It's deep!

“Of the movies I’ve done, [Fight Club] is the one I’m most interested in watching again… it’s a once-in-a-generation kind of film, in my opinion. We made it for our crowd; we thought it was about what we were experiencing in the world, and that it was going to be a big needle right in the eye of a lot of other people, and we knew they were going to hate it, and that it was going to piss them off, and we made it anyway. And that was exciting.” - Edward Norton
Such a true statement.

No prob

I'm glad we're all on the same page about this movie - and the actors are as well. I respect a few actors' opinions, and Norton's is one. He has such amazing insight on everything.

I think my favourite Norton role has to be American History X, but since, he has done such a wide range of roles, and has really expanded his acting credits well!

OMG YES! Actually for me it's a tie between that and Primal Fear. He's just amazing.

I got a kick (no pun intended ) out of seeing Jared Leto in this!

i haven't checked in on Tyler Durden in a long time, hope he's alright. i know he has plenty of homemade lye soap, bruised knuckles, and blown up credit reports. great film!

I gotta rewatch this movie at some point. Oh, and I read the book over ten years ago, and this is definitely a rare case of the movie being even better than the book.
