Favorite movie released during birth year...

This thread is exactly what the title says....

What's your favorite movie released the same year you were born?

Make sure you discuss why it's your favorite...

I just used this website...
The Numbers - Top Movies of each Year

you can change it to go by the year....

I was suprised by how few movies I've actually seen from my birthyear, 1982.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High is definitely my favorite that was released. It's hilarious and well written/acted. I could watch it anytime.

Ha! This is cool. I was born in '83, from what I saw, WarGames is definitely my favorite movie from my birth year. I haven't even heard/seen most of the others!

#1. John McTiernan's Die Hard (1988).
#2. Big (1988)
#3. Rain Man (1988)
#4. The Land Before Time (1988) --- Totally unaware it was released back in '88, until 2008.
#5. Mystery Science Theater 3000: "Space Munity" (crap movie, but its hillarious when you listen to Mike and co. rag on it)

Akira is not my favorite movie, but I can't believe it was also released during the year I was born. The irony.

Has to be Back to the Future (1985)

I used to watch that everyday when I was a kid.

Amadeus - This movie is just so beautiful! I love how Salieri just accepted that he'll never be Mozart and he'll always be "mediocre."

I also enjoyed Sixteen Candles and The Killing Fields Thanks for th index. This is pretty interesting.

Clue!! I love this movie... great actors, funny, and has three different endings. Well, sort of.

Follow that Bird. I loved this movie when I was a kid.

Return to Oz was made in '85? I liked that movie too.. creepy with the many different heads. If you've seen it.. you'll know what I mean.

Yeah, Return to Oz was a freak show!

BTW, just a reminder not to just list the films. Tell us why they are your favorites from that year.
