Favorite Horror Flicks Thread- " Freddy, Jason, and Michael" Oh my!

I wasnt sure if anyone made a thread for their favorite horror flicks or not so I decided to give it a shot. If there already is one, Im sorry ... Anywho, one of my favorite horror flicks would have to be Night of the living dead ( the newer version) because it's been a classic movie to watch with my sister for the past 9 years and it never gets boring or old to watch.

So what are your favorite horror flicks? and if you want to post pictures of your movies you loved than go right ahead

I have a few horror movies that are my favorites.

Halloween- Scary, suspensful and a creepy soundtrack.

Evil Dead 1+2- I like Bruce Campbell and the cameraviews in this one.

Braindead- A gory and hillarious movie.

Friday the 13th: the Final Chapter- One of my favorites in this series.

Halloween is definitely a great one - it's all about the music

I like Scream, Night of the Living Dead (campy), April Fools Day(campy), the original Nightmare on Elm Street was scary as a kid...I know there are plenty of others but I am drawing a blank for some reason!

I agree on the Halloween movies. Mike Myers can be a scary guy and the music was awesome, his theme song was the best from Freddy's or Jason's, expect Freddy's tune can be catchy... 'One, two Freddy's coming for you!, Three four, you better knock your door'.... Good stuff. Out of Jason's films from Friday the 13th, I think the only film of his that actually gave me nightmares as a kid would have to be 'Jason goes to hell'. I was scared of that whole leech looking thing jumping into other people's bodies and taking over them

Another film that was good but I was so scared to watch again was The Exorcist. Just the feeling of knowing that that movie was based on a true story and happened at my hometown gives me the creeps.

i love psychological thriller than gore and with that my one absolute favorite of mine would have to be Ringu, the original japanese version of The Ring, I believed this movie was much better and the The Ring does not hold a torch to Ringu. Very well done and scared the hell out of me!

Shining just does it for me. It manages to scare the daylights out of me every single time I watch it.
But I'm also a fan of Stephen King movies.

Hellraiser (the first) is my favorite horror movie. I love watching at night. My other favorites are The Ring, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original and remake) and Silence Of The Lambs are also favorites of mine when I want to watch a horror movie late at night.

The Ring: I couldn't look at my tv after watching this.

Friday the 13th Series: suspenseful and classic.

Scream trilogy: I hope they do a fourth one.

Darkness Falls: I couldn't turn off the light after watching this.

I too enjoyed most of the Friday the 13th movies. I loved the scream movies too. The original Halloween and H20.
Watching Nightmare on elm street scarred me for life when I was younger. It doesn't bother me as much now, but I still find the Amanda Wyss on the ceiling scene a little chilling.

purrfect405- i also love watching psychological thrillers and Ringu was a pretty good, spooky movie. I liked it better than the remake of The ring.

The Survivor- Hellraiser, wow that movie scared me when I was a kid. Pinhead, crazy crazy.....

Josette- I hope they do a fourth Scream also and bring back Dewey his a cutie.

ALittaM- Stephen King is so great with horror flicks. One of my favorite directors. The Shining, IT, The Stand, The cat's eye, Carrie, Firestarter, The Green mile, Pet sematary, and Misery were all my favorites from him.

groovyk1- That was a scary scene from Nightmare on Elm St. Another scary scene that I was so afraid of as a kid is the waterbed scene with the boy. I had a waterbed when I was little and I was scared that I would be sucked in by Freddy.

Rainstorm18 - As a child I walked in on a group of older kids watching Nightmare, and it just happened to be the nasty ceiling scene. I'm glad I didn't have a waterbed, I probably would have been the same way.

groovyk1- Yeah, it wasnt pretty. I had to sleep in my parents bed with them because I was so scared to sleep in mine. Plus I couldnt even fall asleep or I would think he would come and get me. Now I can watch Nightmares movies and point and laugh at them.
