DVDs you bought that you now regret buying.

What are some of the DVDs you first purchased that you wish you didn't or you never really watch anymore? What would you trade the DVD for?

I regret buying Jason X and if I had the chance I would trade Jason X for The Lord Of The Rings The Return Of The King.

I don't know if this is allowed but here's my list.
  • Pieces of april
  • Don't look now
  • Harvard Man
There's a few.

I'm trying to get rid of them at the junk sale.

I buy very few movies I haven't already seen, so I know what I'm buying when I make the purchase. I've bought two on impulse buys and I actually liked them. Got lucky, I guess.

The one I regret buying is xXx. I saw it in theatres and then decided to buy it, but I've never watched it, don't even want to watch it. It's one of those movies that made me think "I actually liked this?"

Such a horrible movie I bought it because Collin was in it but didn't know it was such a bad movie.

I regret buying Season 3 of Stargate Sg1. I love the show but there are only three extras that came with it. There are no commentaries. This is what I get for not readingthe box before I bought it.

I would have to say Clueless. I used to love this movie when I was younger and would watch it all the time so when I went out and bought the movie a couple of years ago I never watched it. It doesn't have any special features either and it was a lot of money when it first came out but it's alot cheaper now.

No way I love the movie! Anyway another one I regret buying is Johnny English. Its funny and kind of silly but not one I watch often.

I brought Spy Kids when it first came out on DVD, and now I never watch it. I keep wondering what i ever saw in the movie.

I wouldn't buy the DVD myself, but it was an alright movie. Nothing spectacular or anything. What I loved most was that I recognized the places they were at. I remember driving along the freeway while they were actually filming a scene.

I bought "Peter Pan" (2003) and loved everything about it as I had back in December when I saw it in theaters, like, five times...then I bought the DVD, and it was Full Screen...and I'd meant to get Wide Screen, but the letters are so friggin' small on the cover that I wouldn't have known the difference without a magnifying glass. And I couldn't return it 'cause I'd opened it. So in that respect I regretted buying it. Funny thing is I traded it in for ROTK today at Blockbuster and only had to pay $12.99...some special they're having. I was stoked.

Long story short, I don't buy something unless I know I'll like it. I waste my money buying to rent, not buying to own.

Great thread! We had one of these but it dissapeared lol Glad to see the subject back.

I don't regret buying any movie 'till now. I buy movies I know I'll like or ones I've seen and can't live without.

I lied I DO regret buying full frame DVDs.... I need to be more careful. I'll be trying to return Eurotrip (full frame) for the widescreen version. I can't even look at the DVD without feeling fiery anger about me being so blind...

I haven't watched it nor will I.. I can't. I need widescreen to be happy.

It will not happen from now on.
