Since this about discussing DVD's, I'm confused about an upcoming rerelease of "The Princess Bride". I notice they have two different covers you can choose from when it comes out on June 13th. "The Dread Pirate" edtion and "The Buttercup" edition. Is there a difference between the dread pirate and buttercup editions?

Probably just packaging.

Anyone know of any easter eggs on Serenity?

Last film I bought is A Midsummer Night's Dream. I'd been looking to pick that one up for quite a while, it's got an awesome cast, especially Kevin Kline as Bottom, Michelle Pfeiffer as Titania and Calista Flockhart as Helena.

I don't own the DVD, but doing a little google search came up with this.

Yesterday I bought "Wonderfalls" for $18 but that's a tv show, not a movie.

Is there anything in the new edition of The Princess Bride that I don't have in my previous edition of the Princess Bride? I like the two covers but the special features seem familiar to me.

And a general question to the list (I think based on the rules this is allowed, but if it isn't let me know and I'll edit it out):

Do you buy DVDs mostly for the movie or the special features?

Mostly for the movie...but if there are two DVD's out and one has more special bonus features, I'll buy the more expensive one with the extras.

I have a huge issue with buying DVD's...maybe someone can help me out! I have over 500 DVD's and I can't stop myself from blowing like 100 bucks in one shopping trip on movies. I'll buy movies I haven't even seen yet, and then I'll never get around to watching them at my house. It's an addiction, and I don't really wanna stop, but my wallet is saying otherwise (as well as the space in my house...) I also am a bit anal about making sure everything is in it's place--they are all alphabetical (They used to be alphabetical by genre--but that was way too time consuming--and some movies could fit into two catagories and then I'd have a huge decision to make--that's another issue though ) I also type them up in excel and make sure that it is immediately updated when I come home.

HELP!

Wish i could help but I am the same. I only have around 100 dvds and don't spend lots at once but I buy every now and again (on'es i've seen, ones i've never seen) half are still in the wrappers. And they are in alphabetical order. But I don't see it as too much of a problem

Mehhh, so I ended up buying four Christian Bale movies.

I originally intended to buy just Batman Begins, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Training Day. But I walked out of Best Buy with Batman Begins [two-disc deluxe edition], American Psycho, Equilibrium, and Reign of Fire. The latter two I haven't seen, but I love Bale so whatever, got 'em anyway.

Maybe I'll go get Pirates and Training Day today when I go shopping with my dad....

Don't expect to like Reign of Fire. But CB does look hot in it.

Last movie I bought was South Park for 8 bucks.
