Dogma (1999)

Has anyone seen this movie? It came out in 1999 starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Linda Fiorentino, Chris Rock, Alan Rickman

Synopsis:

A female descendant of Mary Mother of Christ and two unlikely prophets are called upon by Rufus, an unknown 13th apostle, to stop two angels, that were cast out of heaven, from unknowingly erasing all of God's work by restoring their souls by entering a new church. Restoring ones soul by entering a new church is a part of the Catholic Dogma, and by restoring their souls the angels could reenter heaven thus revealing there is a loophole to return to heaven. This would prove God was not perfect and upon proving this all of God's work would immediately be erased.

I saw this ages ago. My favorite part was Chris Rock. And the whole Green Bay joke. Good movie, very funny.

I don't remember the Green Bay part. Chris Rock was funny though.

I loved when Alan Rickman told Bethany that he was "an anatomically impaired as a Ken doll"

Jay "Tell me something about me"
Rufus "You masturbate more than anyone on the planet"
Jay "****, everyone knows that, tell me somethin' no one knows"
Rufus "When you do it, you think about guys!"
Bob
Jay "Dude, not all the time"

Check out #3, then. I've always been quite partial to #4. Jay.

I loved when she asked him what he was and he said "I'm pissed off is what I am"

#4 is hilarious

One of my favorite Smith films.

Ben Affleck's best role that I've seen as well. His scene with Matt Damon in the garage is insanely good. I could watch that scene over and over again.

I just watched this again not too long ago.

Loki "converting" the nun through the 'Walrus and the Carpenter' comparison is great. That, and the boardroom scene.
