Dear John (2010) - "What would you do with a letter that changed everything?"
Welcome to the Dear John appreciation thread!  Based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, when Savannah Lynn Curtis comes into his life, John Tyree knows he is ready to turn over a new leaf. An angry rebel, he had enlisted in the army after high school, not knowing what else to do. Then, during a furlough, he meets the girl of his dreams. Savannah Lynn Curtis is attending college in North Carolina, working for Habitat for Humanity, and totally unprepared for the passionate attraction she feels for John Tyree. The attraction is mutual and quickly grows into the kind of love that leaves Savannah vowing to wait for John while he finishes his tour of duty, and John realizing that he's ready to settle down with the young woman who has captured his heart. Neither can foresee that 9/11 is about to change the world and will force John to risk every hope and dream that he's ever had. Like so many proud men and women, John must choose between love and country. And like all those left behind, Savannah must decide to wait or move on. They're chemistry looks amazing and Amanda herself has already commented on how good it is.
I really think Amanda (and Channing) is/are gonna make me cry, and yes I even found myself on the verge of shedding a few tears during Jennifer's Body so I'm not sure what that say's about me  .I love that it seems to have been faithful to the book as much as possible. __________________

omg you guys I read this book and I AM SO EXCITED!
I looove the trailer so much! its looks so beautiful! Channing and Amanda are perfect from what I can see in the trailer. I cannot wait for this!!! __________________

Dear John is honestly one of my favorite books and the trailer already has me wanting to see the movie in early screening. Channing and Amanda look like they have that chemistry that will make bawl and go back and back to the movie. NateScottLover I may have to take a few icons because they are gorgeous!!! I bawled through the entire movie, and almost cried when I saw the trailer this weekend. I'm so excited for this movie. I love Amanda & Channing!

I need to find that interview where Amanda talks about there chemistry.
 I love the bts of that shoot, they seem like really good friends.I had it on repeat on my Ipod was I was going to college this morning. It's so my song of the moment. __________________
