Cute, Romantic Scenes We Love

The song "For the love of you" by The Isley Brothers came up on my iPod and I instantly remembered the sexy scene from Alfie that is set to this song. Nia Long and Jude Law had incredible chemistry and the scene was great. Didn't show much of anything, just two actors and a really cool song. A hot scene without being trashy.

Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey had a really nice sequence in The Wedding Planner. Mary gets drunk when she sees her ex and Steve takes her to her apartment. Starting with the moment they get to her building, that scene is so lovely. The bonding over marshmallows worked, everything worked.

In Never Been Kissed...the final scene on the baseball field, perfect in so many ways. I always find myself holding my breath--hoping Sam (Michael Vartan) will show up. Drew's face is priceless as you just see the hope slip away from her when the time runs out. And that moment when he finally shows up and they have that fabulous kiss...perfection.

Ohhhh that one! That's a great moment!

I also love the moment when she's alone at the ferris wheel and he gets on it just so she wouldn't be alone. It's so sweet of him especially since he's afraid of it.

ooooo I am so happy you made a thread about this.

I absolutely think the flower scene in "40 Days and 40 Nights" is just soo sexy, sensual, and beautiful. It is soo tasteful. Josh Hartnett and Shannyn Sossaman just have incredible chemistry together.

I also adored the ending moment on the baseball field, when I first saw it, I actually wasn't sure if he would actually be showing, I was so worried, lol.

But, the ferris wheel moment was my favorite in the movie. Everything about it, as you said, the fact he was afraid, but didn't like seeing her up there alone, especially seeing how it was broadcasted to everyone...the stolen glances between the two of them, the dialogue so endearing and sweet.

This thread is great, but given that romance just owns me, I could never narrow my picks down, lol. A few others I have to mention right now would have to be, in no particular order:

My Best Friend's Wedding:

The scene where Michael takes the ring off Julianne's finger with his mouth...so sensual! I can't get over just how much this moment owns me. I love how tender he is with her while taking her hand, and then how he just slowly puts his mouth on her finger and pulls it off, and her expression, kinda wincing at the intense sensualness of the situation, though they were best friends...Dermot and Julia were great in that moment.

The scene at the wedding reception when Julianne loans her and Michael's song to him and Kim. That had to be one of the most incredible acts of true sacrifice and love I'd ever seen...it breaks my heart every single time, especially seeing Michael's face when he realizes just what she's done for him and Kim.

Love Me If You Dare:

The scene where young Julien goes to where Sophie lives and starts counting, and she looks down from her apartment and counts back. Just something about the looks/smiles they keep giving each other, the music, how innocent that moment is, I love it.

The scene in the rain near the very end of the movie when Julien sings 'La Vie En Rose' to Sophie, not remembering all the words, thus making it even more adorable, how they start moving slowly towards each other, his touching her face/hair, the honesty and utter romance of that moment owns me.

Love Actually:

The scene where Mark goes to Juliet's with the cards and lets her know just how he feels about her, never ceases to amaze me. That is such a grand, yet simple moment all in one. It's honest, the music, the look on her face, how she runs after him and gives that innocent kiss, omg, it's just incredible!

The scene where Sam rushes through the airport to catch Joanna before she leaves to America, and how she comes back to give him that peck on the cheek, so friggin' cute!

The scene where Jamie and Aurealia are conversing in their own languages, not knowing they're actually saying a lot of the same stuff to each other, in his cottage. I love the awkardness between them, while trying to relate to each other, not realizing just how much they actually are.

The scene where Jamie proposes to Aurealia in her language and she accepts in his, near the very end of the movie. I love how he gets some of the wording wrong, and she does too...but the fact they learned each other's language withouth knowing it, so sweet!

The Holiday:

The scene where Graham and Amanda are kissing for the first time on the couch. That is one of the most interesting scenes to me. Considering they'd only met, but are connecting that fast...usually I'm not really into that, but in this case, it worked. I loved all the sweet kisses, and the way he took her hair in his hands, kissed her eye, and then made it to her lips, so lovingly was so sweet. The music was so beautiful and it just went so well with that was going on, it made what would have initially been a quick one night stand turn into something so meaningful. I still can't get over the way he kisses her eye.

The scene near the end of the movie when Amanda runs back to the cottage to find Graham crying, after she'd left. The fact he wasn't lying about the fact that he really cries a lot, that scene is one of the cutest moments.

Casino Royale:

The shower scene, I loved when James opened the door to see Vesper sitting all alone and scared in the shower. The way he slowly walks over to her, sits down, loosens his tie, while she starts to rest her head on his shoulder...and then how he takes her hand in his and starts to suck on her fingers to get the blood she feels is on them off, so romantic. It's sensual but not very sexual at the same time, it's just him being there for her in the most comforting way. Oh, and the music that's playing is so beautiful.

Okay...there's a few for now, lol.

These own me! The looks on the scene your described are so perfect!

25th Hour - The scene when Monty and Naturelle are in the bathtub was really nice. The felt like a real couple. It was sweet, funny, romantic.

Brown Sugar-When Sid was on the radio talking about her book, Dre called her and asked when did she fall in love with hip-hop (meaning him) and she admits she loves him. And he goes and tells her he loves her too, saying "you're my air."

I love this movie.

While reading the Rom Com thread, I remembered a moment from You've Got Mail I love. It's when Joe is visiting Kathleen to say he's sorry and she's sick. After all sorts of funny stuff, she gets into bed and he tucks her in. Then she's talking about how he makes her say all sorts of horrible things and before she can say one more, she puts her hand over her mouth, which she wasn't expecting... He's just trying to keep her from insulting him. And it's the cutest thing ever.

And of course the end, when she says, "I was hoping it'd be you." Oh man. Tears. lol

It's cheesy, but in The Wedding Planner, when Massimo proposes to Mary via dollhouse and she responds by writing "Ok" in the Scrabble board. He was so adorable and flustered. Every time I watch the movie, I always want her to marry Massimo instread.

A Slipping-Down Life When they're driving to the wedding and David is talking smack and Drum reassures Evie by touching her face and smiling at her.

In A Walk to Remember when Jamie is in the hospital and she says to him,

"You're my angel"

The look on his face is so cute!
