Hey there - welcome to the boards and thanks for the thread!

We had an old one but it seems to have disappeared in the crash, so I'll use this link for the thread on the Master List.

Personally I didn't care for the film mostly because while I adore Sarah Michelle Gellar I don't think she acted well in the film. The earlier film version of Dangerous Liaisons is much better, but I like the fact they tried to modernize the story. Could have been really good...

Yes, welcome to the board, and thanks for the thread

I thought this movie was cute and sad, mainly because of the whole Sebastian and Annette storyline. I love when he started to have feelings for her.

I really liked this movie. The storyline was a good one (done before, but still good all the same ). Another thing I liked about it was the music, it had a kickass soundtrack.

The second movie was terrible, as it was a prequel and tried to tie in with the original. The third one wasn't so bad mainly because it was an all new storyline - just borrowing the same sort of concept.

I didn't even know there was a third one. The second one was awful, but the first one was genius!

I watched the film because of Sarah Michelle Gellar but fell in love with the tragic storyline.

Unlike shrrshrr, I think that this film has one of SMG's finest perfomances ever. She's so good at being a bitch.

The story is supposed to be based on a French book and having read it I can say that it wasn't true to the original story!
I still liked the movie though!!

I also thought SMG portrayed the character really well. And the delievery of her line towards the end... "Goodbye, Sebastian." was fantastic, imo.

It's hard to make a prequel with a completely different cast.
