Synopsis: 1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). It's a town that lives in fear. But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known. Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. No problem, there is like 3 of my favorites actors in the Movie Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde(House).adding in Jon Favreau as director. Reading in EW magazine summer movie issue , Spielberg and Grazer wanted to do a movie together this theme was on their mind . Their idea of serious movie not tongue in cheek .

Saw it today really enjoyed it . well done

It tied with Smurfs for weekend Estimate of 37 million 200,000 .Cant remember last time that has happened . But Monday afternoon actual numbers come in.

Theater was 3/4 full late on a Sunday afternoon .good amount of applause after it ended .

Tomorrow's skies

It was okay, but like most westerns it was slow as hell. Plus, it was pretty flat and just kind of meandered about. My boyfriend and I only liked the side characters--Jake really shouldn't have been leading this. Either way I'd say the potential was there and the concept could've been really interesting, but it flailed.
