Chasing Liberty (2004) #1 - Let Freedom Ring!

I saw this movie today and I loved it! I thought I would start a thread! Anyone else?

From IMDb:
Cast:
Mandy Moore - Anna Foster
Matthew Goode - Ben Calder
Jeremy Piven - Alan Weiss
Annabella Sciorra - Cynthia Morales
Mark Harmon - President James Foster
Martin Hancock - McGruff

Plot Summary:
The President's daughter [Moore], unable to experience life like a normal 18 year-old, escapes from her entourage of Secret Service agents while traveling in Europe. She falls in love with a handsome British stranger [Goode], who also happens to be working undercover for her father [Harmon]. A modern-day homage to ROMAN HOLIDAY.

Yep. (it made me want Europe too)

I saw the film on Friday night. It was really good!

As to the Roman Holiday hommage thing.. At first I thought "what? are they kidding me. Pfft," but after I thought about it for a bit, and realized that it is kind of like it. Not quite, but there were a lot of similarities: the royalty factor (first daugther, princess), the fact that he knew who she was but not vice versa, there's more too. I just can't really think right now.

absolutely loved this movie. I am a huge fan of Matthew Goode!!! I am absoultely, positively, madly in love with him. Guess I'm just a sucker for beautiful eyes and a british accent!!!

Mandy Moore was also great in it. I am becoming a fan of her. First A Walk to Remember and now this...

I saw this movie last night. I loved it so much. It was a nice change for the type of movie it was in. It wasn't trashy or dirty. But cute...plus I just love Mandy Moore. She is so pretty!

I was reading different articles and the reviews are pretty bad. I for one enjoyed it, i think the critics really just do not give Mandy a chance.

It opened at #7.

Matthew Goode is like the delightful bastard offspring of Milo Ventimiglia and Hugh Grant. But taller and buffer than both of them. I was in love.

I think this movie was better than the reviews. It was predictable and paint-by-the-numbers, but it did a good job of being that. I think Mandy Moore is a far better actress than the roles she takes.

Yeah, when i was watching the movie Matthew reminded me of Hugh Grant too.

Has anyone heard if he is working on any other movies?
