There are a few scenes in the movie where RDJ does a pretty convincing portrayal of Chaplin's performances. It was convincing enough that, during the movie, they show a montage of the real Charlie Chaplin, and it doesn't look like an obviously different person. I heard they actually filmed a lot more material for the biopic but had to cut it out because the movie was already too long. I wish they'd release some of that other material, I'd like to see more of RDJ recreating Chaplin's work. The movie is very focused on his life beyond films, in particular his various relationships and marriages. I'm up for a Chaplin-athon if there's interest. __________________

Yes! RDJ is phenomenal in the role. If you want to see Chaplin live, the closest you will get is RDJ portrayal in Chaplin.

Yeah, but movies streaming on the sites I mentioned are free for me to watch (well, I pay a subscription for all, but no additional charges)

I'm no help there - I have the movie on blu-ray. And even if I did subscribe to Netflix, it would be the watered-down Canadian version.
