The unicorn was pretty awesome, I didn't expect to see one at all.

I've never thought of Unicorns as evil before. I was a little confused on that.

So was I. I've always thought of them as quite peaceful creatures.

Exactly... Innocent and beautiful, never dark, and twisted. I guess they just pulled a lot of different things together and tried to make them work. I think the ending turned out o.k. I would have like to have seen the fall out.

I like the inversion of belief that Drew & Joss used in this film
I would have loved to see the actual God come out of myself. __________________

One of my favourite parts would be the motorcycle scene. My friend and I laughed for like 5 minutes during it in the theatre.

When he hit the invisible wall Poor guy! I felt bad for him, but I knew it was coming. What a bad way to go.

WTF did I just watch, Whedon??? But damn if I didn’t love it. Holy ****.
Revitalizing (and dare I say reinvent) this genre was a good move. I don’t know if that was Whedon’s and Goddard’s plan, but they did it anyway, so good job! First thing I loved was Joss’s employment of his core actors/actresses, mainly Fran Kranz (Dollhouse) and Amy Acker (Angel, Dollhouse, and almost everything Joss makes). Add Chris Hemsworth, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, and a surprise appearance by an iconic sci-fi actress, and it’s balls out blood and gore and funnies! It was ****ing awesome! The (now) legendary Whedon formula of deadpan comedy coupled with actual scary stuff was amazing to see on the BIG screen. I’m going to pretend Avengers and Serenity haven’t come out yet and approach it like that… this was essentially a movie with unknown actors at the time it was shot (Chris Hemsworth hadn’t gotten the Thor movie yet) and that’s how I liked it. All the inside jokes and really just jokes, were spot on every time and I loved that they did that - taking a stab at the genre but in such great taste. It wasn’t like in Scream (the rules scene) where they tick off a list of “usual” things that happen in slasher/horror movies, it really had a different take on it, that was precious. I love Scream, but now that I’ve seen this, I feel this style is much better than talking down to the audience as Scream did (that’s how I saw it). And in true Whedon fashion, there were nods to his TV shows (not going to tell you - figure it out!). And I just want a full movie of Hadley and Sitterson just going back and forth with quips and one-liners and all kinds of awesomeness! They were my favorites! You wouldn’t enjoy this if you don’t get the jokes or you have a stick up your ass. A tip though: look closely at the white boards and the artifacts (in the cabin) - lots of shoutouts. __________________

I love this movie. The ending was the best part.

That scene was epic.
I just hope they don't rush to a sequel. Just because a movie does well and is received well, doesn't mean it needs a sequel and that's part of what's wrong in Hollywood today. I just watched the THor sequel last night and they only continued it because it's easy money (popcorn flicks are genius) and it's leading up to Avengers 2. It was one of the worst movies I've ever seen but the first Thor was really good. Sequels aren't necessary. |

Yeah I liked how his own words got back to him and the merman got him.
Yeah I agree with sequels. Sometimes I feel like they just don't need them at all. |
