In Bruges (2008) #1

Hey, didn't see a post on this new flick. Just saw an advance screening and I thought it was pretty decent. Colin Farrell is really funny in it and his onscreen chemistry with Brendan Gleeson is top notch. I wasn't expecting a whole lot since I didn't even hear much about this film until I got invited to see it, but I came away pretty entertained and amused.

Here's the trailer folks:

I saw it today.

I loved it!!

I hope at least a few people get a chance to see it so there's someone to talk about it with.

Colin and Brendan were both great.

And I loved Ralph Fiennes as well.

I saw it last week and I agree, it's awesome! What did you think about how they handled the mix of comedy and dead seriousness of certain parts?

I was pretty happy. I really didn't have any complaints when it came to that. I loved all the humor. But, the parts that needed to be serious and touching were. It was all kinds of tragic in so many respects.

Finally, finally I got to watch this, and I LOVED it.

Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson two of my favorite actors ever, and together they were fabulous! Some of the scenes were so bizarre that I couldn't stop laughing. Then I couldn't stop crying (metaphorically speaking).

I waited so long to watch this and it delivered. Wow! This has got to be one of my all time favorite Colin Farrell's performances ever. Great movie.

I go through all the threads too.

It's a really good movie. I'm thinking of getting the DVD so I can watch it again.

I watched this last year and still consider it one of the better movies I've seen lately. It is refreshingly humorous and even has some substance behind it. Lovely.

Well said. Not to go overboard but it has pathos and tragedy, which makes the comedy bits so much sharper and hard hitting and even bizarre.
