I just watched Before Midnight. I don’t remember feeling that Julie Delpy’s character was a nag before. Don’t know if they were implying that motherhood does that to a woman.
 Also didn’t like that their argument lasted almost half of the film. Anyone who allows an argument to last that long is only asking for trouble. What did they think was going to come out of it? However, I was glad they were able to patch things up the last five minutes of the film. I’m always up for another “Before” film, so I wouldn’t mind another sequel.  __________________

BEST ROMANTIC TRILOGY OF ALL TIME. Not even a contest.

I think Before Midnight is a film that grows on you  it took me a while to adjust to Celine's cold and frustrated attitude toward Jesse but the more I re-watch the film, the more I understand that she has unresolved issues with the knowledge that Jesse left his wife for her, and she wants basic reassurance from him that their love is still as strong as it always was.  I think Ethan and Julie's strong chemistry always helped, in terms of their long dialogue. I liked those last few moments where you can see these two soul mates reconnecting at dinner together.__________________

 it annoys me when salaries are raised as issues years down the line. The past is the past.Suddenly this bothers her now? It didn't bother her enough to back out of doing a sequel or co-writing the third movie with Ethan. Shame because I like these movies a lot but it seems unfair of her to suddenly pitch herself against a co-star who she always claimed to love working with in a sexism debate. __________________
