I really liked this movie which is weird because I'm not a Keira fan. I thought James was amazing.

I finally saw Atonement today since it just opened yesterday! The movie time my friend and I were supposed to see it at was sold out so we had to wait an extra hour and it was packed!
I was a bit nervous because the NY Times review was not good.But I must say whoever reviewed it from the NY Times must've been off their meds because it was amazing! I thought it captured the book wonderfully! It was just beautiful.I was all out crying at the end,even though I already knew from the book what happened. I know this year is stiff competition for Leading Actor Oscars but James McAvoy was amazing! He just has to get nominated.I've loved him before but this was his best performance to date.I also loved all three Brionys...all gave great performance and I was actually really surprised by Romola Garai and how emotional her performance was. I think I expected a bit more from Keira but I still liked her performance and I thought she and James had awesome chemistry. I really can't say enough how much this movie lived up to my expectations! Boo to the NY Times! |

I really hope James gets nominated as well, his performance was just so moving. Especially when
Spoiler:
The Academy seem to love war epics so this is bound to get at least some nominations.  |

I cant believe it only got 5 critics choice noms and none for James, Keira, Saoirse or Romola!

Ooo, so excited for this movie! I've been trying to get to the book, but that just isn't happening right now.
Sad. But, I have this to look forward to. I saw an interview in Cosmo with James and he talked about this movie and it sparked my interest. I also love both James and Keira, so it's a win-win situation.  Kate__________________

I really want to see "atonement." It looks so romantic!
Does anybody else have more icons of "atonement?" btw, atonement has been nominated for a couple of golden globes. I am so excited and plus Keira and James are both nominated for Lead Acting Roles.  |
