^ I think the first two movies have their great points. The first movie is great because Prom night establishes the best couples together (feels a bit weird to include Finch and Stifler's mom in that ) the fact that Vicky and Kevin have this innocent first love going on is really nice.

The best thing the sequel did was have Jim realize the difference between his shallow lust for Nadia and his real love for Michelle. The Jason/Alyson chemistry was the only reason to keep watching after the first movie, other than Seann William Scott as vile but funny Stifler

Oh and the best scene other than Jim and Michelle's first kiss is the sequel scene where Stifler, Finch and Jim get trapped in the bedroom of the women who they think are lesbians

lol Those were the best scenes in American Pie 2. I also love Jim and Michelle together, crazy to think that originally after the first film they weren't going to bring her back. I'm glad they changed her mind, cause that would of been a huge mistake. I loved Kevin and Vicky's story in the first movie, I still think it's ridiculous they didn't have them end up together. What a waste!

Let me guess, they changed their minds due to the fame Alyson Hannigan was getting for her role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Ah, well, if it made a difference then so be it

Absolutely ridiculous. When I heard they were doing American Reunion 8 years ago, I honestly thought Kevin and Vicky would be one of the story arcs that would be redeemed and fulfilled this time around.

Maybe? That's just what I've always heard, that Michelle was originally only going to be in the first movie. Yeah, in American Reunion they should of had Kevin and Vicky fall in love all over again and reunite. I don't get why they didn't.

But yes, the atmosphere in that movie is a little tense. It's a damn shame that they didn't bring back more of the original cast for it.

American Reunion is such a disappointment in how they tease us with Kevin having a dirty dream about Vicky but then he just settles back into married life with some woman we don't know or care about

American Wedding is my least favorite. It leaving out so many important characters is what hobbled the film IMO.

It's definitely not the greatest of the movies (mostly for the reason you said) but I think I prefer it to American Reunion. The Reunion movie was just an excuse for the main cast to get some attention again; I didn't feel like it really had much of a story going for it.

I can see that too, but at least everyone came back. One of my few complains about American Reunion is that some characters should of had more screen time like Samantha (Vicki's best friend, if I have her name right lol) and Nadia. I hated only seeing them for a few seconds. I rate the films

The sequel would probably be my favorite of the movies, if only they hadn't kept Kevin and Vicky in the friend zone.

I agree that they should have waited to do the Wedding movie until all the cast were available.

I'm not a big fan of American Reunion, but I absolutely loved the top-notch chemistry between Biggs and Hannigan-Denisof still solid together, years later.
