What about Scott Speedman? He obviously hasn't made as many movies as most of the people mentioned and most of the ones he has made have been independent films, but I've seen them all and can honestly say that I've enjoyed each of them.

I have absolutely no clue who Scott Speedman is.

What about Jack Nicholson?? He has been in some really great movies. I just watched Somethings Gotta Give last night. I was surprised that I actually liked it.

As for actresses......Demi Moore?? She has always been one of my favorites. Right now I can't think of anything that I have disliked her in. I need to think on that some more though.

One thing i'd like to add, we (derek and I) don't go to IMDB.com to check, so with Jonny i'm not sure what he has done aside from Hackers and trainspotting. Same with the Speedman, Underworld and,...?

Jack did this movie with Ellen BArkin that was rather horrible, forget what it was called though.

Interesting. The first name that came to mind was Daniel Day-Lewis, partly because I had read article a few years ago where the journalist claimed that, while he'd been a few questionable movies, he'd never made an outright bad film. I tend to agree. Stars & Bars and Eversmile, New Jersey were two small films that didn't receive rave reviews but had something redeemable about them. If you go through his filmography it's hard to deny he knows how to pick a project...or perhaps his performance saves a film from being a complete disaster (as some would say was true for Gangs of New York): The Age of Innocence, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, My Left Foot, My Beautiful Laundrette, Last of the Mohicans, In the Name of the Father, The Boxer. All at least good films, if not great.

I think the reason why almost all actors have at the very least one bad movie on their resume is that they either weren't on the A-list and were forced to take what they could get to pay the bills, their main appeal to studios and directors is their box office draw (*cough*JuliaRoberts*) so they must keep their face on the screen even if it is in a ****e film, or they just wanted to try something different and it didn't necessarily work.

Colin Farrell? I would classify Alexander (I so wanted it to be good) and American Outlaws as being bad. The Recruit wasn't horrible but it wasn't good either.

James Dean is a definate. Yeah, there were only 3 but the fact that all of them weren't just good but brilliant makes up for the skimpy filmography

I wanted to say Barry Pepper, then I remembered: Battlefield Earth.

Oh, how about Quentin Tarantino? Kinda like cheating, but all the movie's he's been in technically are great...

Jonny was in Mansfield Park which I looove. I adore those old English movies. All but Wuthering Heights. Never did like that one. Mansfield Park, Jane Eyre, and Pride and Prejudice are my faves. Jonny is also in a new Woody Allen movie called Melinda and Melinda with Will Ferrell of all people. It looks very good. I tend to like Woody Allen movies for the most part. Not all but I do luuuuurve a few of them.

Tom Hanks has to be a keeper though. I just love him though so maybe I'm biased. But come on, The 'burbs, The Money Pit, Castaway, The Terminal, The Green Mile, Apollo 13, Toy Story, Road to Perdition, A League of their Own, Splash, You've Got Mail, Joe Versus the Volcano, Sleepless in Seattle, Forrest Gump, Philidelphia, Saving Private Ryan, Big, Bachelor Party, Turner and Hooch, Volunteers, Band of Brothers. The man is awesome. And he's going to be in the upcoming Da Vinci Code which should be awesome.

Anyone said Sean Connery? He is a terrific actor.

I thought Mansfield Park was cool, a bit more hip for the likes of Jane Austen novels. Not that I hated Sense and Sensebility or Pride and Prejudice, but this one movie I actually have more enthusiasm for.

I was going to go with Tom Hanks but I remember that I saw Splash which is probably considerable considering it was made in 1984 or something and it was fairly early in his career. But somehow, I can't I just can't forget the torrid-ness of that movie.

My other favorite actor is Dustin Hoffman, but I haven't seen all of them, so it's not justifiable.

Jack Nicholson. But Anger Management wasn't great although he played nicely.

Why was James Dean eliminated?
He only did 3 movies. But they were all brilliant movies, with great casts and directors. He had very difficult roles and he did amazing jobs in all of them. Not to mention those movies became legendary for all the right reasons: they're excellent and they show the great talent James Dean was.
For those who haven't seen the movies, they were:
- "East of Eden" (directed by Elia Kazan)
- "A Rebel Without a Cause" (directed by Nicholas Ray)
- The Giant (directed by George Stevens)

Umm he wasn't. He is the actor who has never made a bad movie, even if he made only about three.

Well if you are going by the "criteria", it has to be atleast 5 movies

I was thinking maybe Gael GarcÃ*a Bernal. Though I havent seen ALL his films, Ive seen about 4 or 5, and thought they were pretty good..

I think that pretty much every actor has made at least one bad movie. But I really do like Tom Hanks. Every movie that I've seen of him was great

I loved Splash. You got a call from CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, CNBC, MSNBC, and Mrs. Paul's. Fish sticks!
