The first time she ran away didn't she and came back and was sort of acting a bit ****ty, the second time she was ehm..acting a bit ****ty ..ha ha..the second time round she did it because she felt disconnected from everything and spike seemed to be one of the only ones that got it.
In which way would you like Elena to turn darker? How do you picture it? I'm quite happy for the line, just from a fangirl basis. Yeah it's randomly thrown in there by the looks of it, maybe Rose just means well for Damon because he was kind to her when she was dying? She obviously just wanted to let him know that she is rooting for them  __________________

Elena already has dark traits....it is possible for her.
Her fear to lose more people could make her do very drastic things... She was ready to kill randoms to save her people in season two.  __________________
