It's so good to see Alaric/Matt back on TVD. He's always been my favourite after Damon and I'm hoping they'll have some good scenes together - eventually. In the meantime I'm looking forward to any Ric/Elena interaction. These two need each other badly!

Sorry if DP, but why how/why doesn't the Gilbert ring work anymore? Did I miss something? (Probable, since I haven't watched most of the last 6 episodes, except D/E.) Thanks for the info in advance. Sorry, again, for breaking the rules.

Hmmm, I guess the ring only doesn't work in Mystic Falls because there's no magic in that place any more. The Travellers made sure of that.
