I think Damon's big storyline will definitely tie into the secret society at Whitmore. I also think Enzo, this man from his past is connected and I wonder if Enzo might be the St Augustine vampire that killed Megan.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I think Silas is gone. If he wasn't then he would be trying to kill Bonnie to bring down the other side so he could be with Amara. Given how powerful he is that shouldn't be too difficult and I doubt they would really kill off Bonnie.

I heard that Steven McQueen wants to be cast on Arrow as Nightwing, I wonder if tvd would let him go and if so whether they would kill him off again. I really hope not as I really would hate another Elena turning off her humanity storyline.
