Oh and we were talking briefly about remembering the Emmy's last year. Wonder if they will both go again. We know that Nina went solo on the Red Carpet, but do you think they might allow Ian to go as well this time. He only came last minute to the afterparty I believe (thank-you Kathy Griffin for that pic). Maybe by this time they probably are thinking 'everyone knows we are together, lets just go have fun together'. |

I don't think either one of them will go to the Emmys this year.
They work on a network that is barely getting recognition (just like when it was still the WB) and better known for the drop dead gorgeous casts of its series than for the material of the shows itself. It's sad but they are on a network that is not taken seriously (which you kinda can understand when you look at 90210, One Tree Hill or Gossip Girl post season 2, sorry for those who like, and even though it's my guilty pleasure once in a while) and looked down upon by the major networks. Last year she was there because Jimmy Fallon asked her to be in the opening number, and every once in a while the CW throw one of its best show's actors in (like Kristen Bell in 2004 or 2005 singing Fame) just to say "hey! we're here to!" but this network doesn't matter for the Academy which is stupid if you ask me because some shows are much better than those being rewarded, and just to throw them as an exemple, without the WB's Dawson's Creek we may not have had Fringe's Joshua Jackson or Oscar (or golden globes or whaterver!) nominee Michelle Williams now...[or married to Tom Cruise, TOM CRUISE, Katie Holmes!] __________________

Actors can go to the Emmys and not be nominated or presenting, but rather just be there in the audience.

Or the network sends them to the parties to get exposure for their shows etc. It's good for publicity even if they aren't nominated etc.
And yeah....sooo excited about Comic Con. Then thinking of going to Atlanta and doing a Mystic Falls tour. I have my Unleashed ticket purchased as well for November (birthday pressie for myself). So I know I will see Ian a few times, but hoping Nina can go as well. I think she will though. As long as she h nothing else on. Don't we have a person who will be at the Nimes convention? Also, i know we are saying Nina can't go to Barcelona because the people organising that convention couldn't secure her. But could that be because she just might not be able to 100% guarantee she won't be filming her movie? Okay Ashley had posted a link on news thread about voting for VH1 do something. They have several categories, TV Show, TV Star.....etc. Ian seemed to be getting votes on TV Star so please go vote for him there. I also noticed there is a category for TV Show but The vampire diaries are not on list so I'll give a link so you can vote but if anyone has a problem just go on my twitter to see what I have done. Voting is done on twitter but I believe you can only 3 times in a category. So this is what I did
TV Show - The Vampire Diaries TV Star - Ian Somerhalder Twitter - Ian Somerhalder Style - Nina Dobrev (about time people take notice) Couple - Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev The couple part is tricky because most of this category has available @ for twitter but there is none for Nian. I saw those who are leading most of their names are put together with 'and' added between their names, so I nominated them by @iansomerhalderandninadobrev. Maybe someone here can find out how it works.
