Pics like this I just found on tumblr make me laugh. It's a case of looking for something that isn't there. This pic is from S1 of filming, btw.  It's very clearly just Ian holding with his own two hands folded, and you can see Nina's right arm folded at her waist. Yet, someone decided that Nina's hands both have left thumbs, so obviously, they're holding hands. |

Yeah, that's from the s1 finale, but they were together at that point, and hand-holding or not, it was the two of them off alone together.
