No not at all! He just said that the social references are completely different but that she is so smart that it's all good. Nothing negative at all with the way he said it.

He also said that with a large age gap like Damon and Elena and him and nina that you can learn and teach and grow. So it's not in a bad way :)

Whether he was being specific about them or not, the fact that he even said such a thing I think it clearly shows that either his mind has gone there (thus he does see them together years from now) or they've talked about (thus they both see them together years from now). So I'm happy with that.

He was talking about cultural and social references. So things like music and stuff they grow up with is different. That's all. He never meant it negatively. I want to make that clear.
