Observant fans caught this in the promo! It seems Damon is wearing Alaric's ring in the next episode!!!!

OMG can they be more subtle about their love?

My guess is that Damon has it for safe keeping!

Exactly! it might tip him right over the edge! They can run away and murder people happy and together! Alaric can accidentally try and kill Damon to no prevail, and every time Damon unconsciously kills Alaric in a rage, Alaric will return crazier than ever! Eventually the playing field will even itself out!

Yeah but Damon has the strength to overpower him every time he tries. Only resulting in Alaric getting even crazier. Amusingly a spin off would just consist of Alaric attempting to kill Damon, who snaps his neck only for Alaric to return more vengeful than ever. Sort of like a demonic Tom and Jerry! Which I guess is Itchy and Scratchy....

And can I just say how adorable was that scene of Damon telling Alaric that they're just gonna go to the loft and make sure he's okay awwwwwwwww all the precious moments, and you can bet you spent the whole night watching Alaric sleep!

This gif always cracks me up though - from this angle the scene can be interpreted in such a different way - it makes it more like they are gonna go have sex now or they're just having a nice cuddle and bed chat! I mean look at it, the way Ric's arm is positioned, it's just hilarious!
