I don't know if it is a goodbye scene because at PaleyFest they were saying that they were filming 3x20 at that time - which means the scene between Damon and Alaric will be in 3x20...surely Alaric isn't gonna be leaving that early? One would think the exit would be the last episode?

But either way, I think our boys will make us very very proud!

And note in the new ep tonight - Alaric ends up in jail and Damon is the one there first to be at his buddy's side! Dalaric is forever!

I loved that Damon as there immediately for Alaric, defending him. And I swear they both found it kind of hilarious when Liz said she'd throw Damon in the jail next to Alaric too. 'Ric was really suppressing a smile there.

And Stefan said Damon only wanted to hang around with him because his "best friend" was in jail..

I really wish they had locked Damon and Alaric in the same cell - I really wanna see that, it'd be totally hilarious!

And totally Stefan knows Damon's got nothing better to do without his BFF!

Damon needs Alaric - that's who he spends all his time with!

Honestly, I fear what this can cost Damon if we loose Alaric for good...if the leave is temporary then maybe yeah, Damon can cope with that and check in on his buddy but if something bad happens to Alaric and we loose him for good or there's no chance of recovery...what is Damon gonna do when his other half is cut off?

I mean yeah, he and Stefan will always be brothers and need each other, but that's because they were family by blood and when there is blood involved sometimes you don't have another way, but Alaric is the brother Damon chose...out of all the people he chose to trust and count on, it was Alaric who he knew would watch his back...Damon CHOSE to spend all the time he has with Alaric and hanging out...taking that all that away, it just seems so cruel to give Damon someone he can trust and yank it away by force and for Damon to have to watch that happen to his best friend...it's just not fair and neither one deserves it...

At this point I think I might be more upset that Alaric may not appear in the finale - I don't want his storyline to be over in like 4 episodes - I want it to be more and him being in the finale...
