I love posting here. I may not be the most active poster,
but it is a great board.
It's nice to have a place to discuss Ian. Everyone are really sweet.
I recently started posting here. But seven years is damn impressive.

As an non-Ian fan (which has changed since a while) I kind of stumbled
onto this board because of Nathy (Nightwish). We've been friends since we met each other
on the Roswell board years ago, and I've been stalking her ever since.
I found this to be a very friendly board,
even to people who aren't all that big of a Ian fan.
With easy going people, some of who became great friends along the way.
It's great to meet all the new people that arrive, now that The Vampire Diaries has become such a hit.
I hope to meet many more of them, and to spend a lot more years on this board.

Ian's Board housed one of the friendliest
group of people here at . When I came here, I was just another lost and
shy poster but everyone had welcomed me
with open arms as if I was already part of the family.
The board have had the most wonderful moderators ever!
Anja, Nicky, Susana, Karen, Nathy, Weena - I couldn't thank everyone of you
for being so awesome. These people are now some of the dearest friends
I have had here at and I am truly blessed
to have known (and become friends with) all of you.
Thank you to the Ian Board for making me one of its family.
I'm so glad that we're celebrating our 7th year anniversary.
Here's to more celebrations! Love you all.

Moderating the Ian board with Anja was one of the greatest
experiences of my life. Sharing thoughts,
opinions, pictures
and news about Ian with other fans around the world
was and is awesome. It's a learning experience that can be useful in real life
but mostly is a way of having fun. Being mod and posting in Ian's board in Fan Forum
meant lots of fun and an amazing opportunity to meet wonderful people
that become my friends.
Ian is a terrific actor but more important, he is a kind, lovely, polite,
funny, caring (and the list goes on) person. And yeah, he's pretty hot too .
I just can say THANK YOU to everyone
who posted before, then and still post every day in Ian's board. You guys are the best!

I've spent so much time on the Ian board and made
so many friends and so many memories,
it's hard to put it all into one small message. I still remember the day
the Ian board was opened and how excited we all were.
I remember the first time Ian posted on the board and we all
nearly had a heart attack. More than anything, I remember the amazing group of people
that has always called this board their home.
Some people have left, some new people have arrived, but it's still the same
welcoming place it was seven years ago. And nothing could be
more fitting for Ian's board; he is one of the kindest and most down-to-earth people
in this industry and would do almost anything for his fans.
That is why I adore him, and that is why I spent years posting on
and moderating this board. Here's to seven more years!

In our opinion, one of the reasons viewers instantly fell in love with Ian as Hamilton, apart from his good looks , is that he was willing to put everything on the line for the person he loved. He had his freak-outs, sure, but in the end he didn't care what people thought, he only cared about his feelings for Jake. He put his insecurities aside and he loved deeply not what the surface showed, but the person within. To be heterosexual and to pretend to be gay just to be with someone is something not every teenage boy would do. But Hamilton did.

Ian Somerhalder Italy and I wanna wish you all the best in this joyful day. 7 years is such a huge goal! In this 7 years this board was one of the few lights on the road of Ian's fan. You made this "work" with dedication and care, showing how much you all love Ian. Yes, it's so simple to love him cos he's such a great actor and a really special man, but I know very well that the fan's work is an hard work and sometimes become really a part-time job So congratulation for this 7 years togheter and keep on following our beloved Ian.
