Well, as of right now, he doesn't. It WAS an accident and people should not be killed for lying and causing an accident. It is not like he put a gun to Boone's head and made him do it. and then tipped the plane. He didn't mean to harm Boone. So, I'm glad with Sayid's approach, where he doesn't trust the guy, tries to get him to reveal the hatch but is also not into the idea of killing him....

Btw, I actually didn't mind the flashbacks that much. Probably because Sayid is an interesting character.

Did you just spoil me with Shannon's death? Only I think I already knew from some other conversation...

She does know how to choose I guess but it is not like there were that many choices. And I think he did the first move? I can see how THEY were endgame though... Even if it sucks for Boone.
