I love Lana. Their story was so tragic and passionte (imo more so than the Lois one) so you gotta care! Still, Lois/Clark still has the appeal also for what they would become in the future (in other Superman literature). Lex-well, Im disappointed they didnt keep him a grey area. Why couldnt his father remain the villain throughout? I also care for Lana/Lex, despite how he ended them. There were real feelings there from both of them.

Oh well, it seems like I care a great deal about Smallville after all.

Frankly I don't care for Louis/Clark either. I remember Louis to be mostly annoying in the episodes I saw her.

But I haven't seen that much of Smallville, especially not in "later" seasons.

I do wish they'd kept Lex in the grey idea but knowing the comis, guess they "had to" make him be the villain like he is in them.

there was an episode round season 9-10 where Clark ends up in the future somehow and meets future!himself together with Lois. They are every bit what you'd like to imagine them to be. His head is a bit muddled with some Krypton business so she advises him and says "oh well, you're more important than any deadline". Thats when present-Clark realises he wants to be with her.

Its pretty hard to decide between Lana and Lois. (I guess that was why the choice was made for him by Lex charging Lana up with kryptonite for good) Their two last kisses were heartbreaking (and some others too). One just before she soaks up the kryptonite bomb to save the city (and Clark) and the other after when he heroically walks over to her despite her protests and wills himself through the pain for that last kiss. I thought I was going to melt.

I don't think I'd ever be able to forgive them for what they did to Lana if I was a Lana/Clark shipper. That's a sucky way to keep them apart.
