I don't understand why they had to destroy it like that. I mean, they could have crashed it in such a way that it was only scratched up.

the camaro isn't destroyed. you mean with the DS scene? bc that wasn't Damon's car, it was a stolen one. I think we all were so relieved bc from the promo it looked like it was his car, but then it turned out it wasn't and everyone was like; pfewwwww
