We are seeing more and more of their friendship every single and I love it. I remember even back in Season 1 before they shared a scene, we got a great picture of them... and Ian even called her first live chat back in 2009. I think they've always been great friends, we just see more and more of it each year, if Damon & Bonnie share more scenes together during Season 6 we'll probably see a lot more of it.
