I agree.

I do understand the upset fans but I've been pleased by what they did get compared to how it seemed no hope in the past...

I just think probably book fans are more upset ... well which I can understand since I am in the side that like them in the books. lol
It feels like all the romances from the books were explored besides of course Bonnie's.

Damon and Bonnie didn't get together in the books though even though it felt like ti was heading that way with them kissing all the time and everything. lol

I don't know much about that, I only read the first three books

I just don't see them romantically. Funnily enough, since I didn't particularly like Elena, I still think she's the one meant for Damon. So I don't want to see him with anyone else

Makes sense, since the real Bamon starts in the 4th book, Dark Reunion and of course Nightfall is a bit one for them, and also it's a prequel before the book where it established that Damon and Bonnie actually met first.

However, Bonnie doesn't remember since he removed her memory from the event.

On TVD, from what I remember, witches can't be compelled.

I don't sadly agree with that.

but luckily you can still appreciated Damon/Bonnie as friends while wanting Damon/Elena together.

I'm perfectly capable of shipping couples even when I don't particularly love half of the equation. Don't get me wrong, I have my issues with her, but I don't particularly dislike her either
