Too bad you missed it. It was incredible episodes. Although Alex is about to have a baby soon, I think Bishop is filling her shoes just fine. (But of course, Alex is still preferred.) I gotta say, the best part of CI is always the last 10-15 minutes, when Goren beaks suspect's balls!

I've been missing "Criminal Intent" lately (I keep forgetting it's on ^_^), but I saw one episode about a month ago where she was talking about being pregnant.

Did they explain how that happened (I mean, other then the obvious ^_^). One-night-stand? Boyfriend? Husband?
Or is she pregnant in real life and they just wrote it in with no explanation?

Hey guys... I just figured out there was a Law & Order board so here I am.

Criminal Intent is by far my favorite Law & Order series, followed by SVU... and honestly I don't really watch the original. I can't explain why other than the fact that the original doesn't have Vincent D'Onofrio or Christopher Meloni [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Actually they did explain it. She's carrying a baby for her sister. I read somewhere that they are explaining it that way so that after she has the baby she can go right back to work since she wouldn't have to take extra time off to take care of the baby since it isn't hers.

Speaking of the pregnancy... how do you all feel about the new detective, Bishop?

Personally, I don't like her. She doesn't quite... mesh with Goren the way Eames does. With Eames and Goren, they kind of balance each other out, whereas Detective Bishop can't do that. The chemistry isn't there.

Yeah, I don't like her either. It seems like all she cares about is showing Bobby up and trying to make herself look better. I just hope that when Eames comes back Bishop doesn't stick around.

I think that Goren is meant to be the leading man. On SVU there's no one detective that's meant to take the lead.
Goren is an eccentric little genius and Eames was always like his straight man. She had a come back for his comments but she never really took the lead.
TPTB seem to want Bishop to be Goren's equal. You just can't be equal to him.

I agree with that. Goren is supposed to be the main man and where no one can really compete with him, at least Eames can keep up with him. Bishop doesn't seem to be able to do that.

Yeah, I think that Eames is just the perfect partner for him. They snap together like two pieces of a puzzle. Bishop is too busy fighting the idea of being Goren's partner. It's her way or the highway. That stinks.

I didn't catch the explanation for Eames' pregnancy. Whoopsies.
