Thanks for the starting the thread, Carrie.

I like Kathryn Erbe. I haven't seen any of her movies, except for The Mighty Ducks II, though. I love her in L&O: CI. Her partnership with Goren is amazingly acted. I think they have great on-screen chemistry, just with how they act off of each other.

I've only seen her in Mighty Ducks also. When I first saw CI, I had missed the opening credits and I spent most of the ep trying to figure out where I had seen her at. I finally realized it was from Mighty Ducks.

I think the first time I ever saw Kathryn was in "Naked City: Justice with a Bullet" a made for Showtime movie. And I just now realized that Courtney B. Vance was in the same movie!

Yeah, it's amazing how many of the actors on L&O have worked with each other previously. A lot of them have were on, or guest starred on, Oz and/or Homicide: Life on the Street. I remember talking to someone about how if you connected all of the main actors and actresses that have been on Law and Order, it would make a big web, because they've basically all worked together or been on the same show before L&O.

I loved Kathryn on Oz, she's a great actress and she did a fantastic job playing the only female inmate in Oz. She was also great in Stir of Echos and Kiss of Death, although she only had a small part in them.

It's true about Oz and Law & Order having a lot of cross overs. I made a huge list awhile back of actors who have crossed over and it was several pages long. I think I read once that Tom Fontana (Oz creator) and Dick Wolf (L&O creator, duh!) are good friends and borrow actors from each other.

I'll have to rent 'Oz' one of these days. Everyone talks about how good is it, and I've yet to see it. What season of 'Oz' was she in?

She's in the second and third season I know for sure. I believe she's also in the fourth and possibly the fifth, but I haven't seen those yet because they haven't come out on DVD yet and I don't have HBO.

I don't have HBO either, so I've never seen Oz, sounds like something I should definitely check out.

Thanks for the info, Sway. Like you two, I don't have HBO, either. I'm going to try and go to Blockbuster sometime this week and get those seasons, if they have them.

I started renting Oz before I got into Law & Order, in fact I got into Law & Order: SVU after falling in love with Meloni after watching Oz and then watching SVU got me started watching CI and the original Law & Order. Anyway I remember the first 10 or so episodes I saw of Law & Order had at least one Oz character in them if not more than one. So it's no exaggeration that TON of actors have crossed over between those two series.

I just bought season three of OZ. Kathryn Erbe is kinda disturbing and definitely strange.
And I get to see Chris Meloni making out with Lee what's-his-name... Hotness...
But anyway, it's definitely worth watching
