Jennifer Garner - QOTW #2 - What roles would you have liked to have seen Jen in?

There are many movies and tv shows out there that have pretty good casting, but now and then I wonder what it would have been like with someone else in the role. So that brings me to the question of the week...

What tv or movie roles would you have liked to have seen Jen in? What roles do you think she would have fitted in perfectly?

Great question...I love the Underworld movies and much as I like Kate Beckinsale I think Jen would have done perhaps a better job there, I'd jsut buy into her there.

I always always thought that Jen would have made an interesting character for lost, perhaps swapping with Evangeline Lilly as Kate. Her and J.J have this sort of odd team dynamic thing, so I think it would have rocked to see her there.

Lastly, since I've heard she was in Cyrano I wonder what Jen would be like in a period piece of a movie. I'd be floored and really happy to see her try it onscreen, I heard she was great.

Oh it would be wonderful to see Jen in a bit of a Period piece. I think she would do a great job, and plus, it would be something a bit different too!

She has an elegance about her that I think would translate very well.

What do you think? What roles would you liked to have seen her in/wish she'd take?

It's a really hard question, because there are so many movies out there that i love, it's hard to try and put someone else in the role!

But off the top of my head, there are a few Romantic Comedies that I think Jen would have been great in, such as How to Lose a Guy in Ten days.

TV wise, I love your Lost idea. She could have made a great Kate!

I'd probably be thinking about a few romantic comedies. I'm going to think about this for a while... Or something from the 80's like Sixteen Candles or something

What about something like Sex in the City? Could anyone see Jen in one of those roles?

Hmmm...maybe as a Charlotte. She does that whole wide-eyed innocent thing very well as evidenced in 13 Going On 30.

Innocent and strong...it sounds like such an odd combo but on her it really, really works.

A think she'd be really effective in a well worked mystery too, maybe something like The Others.

I haven't seen The Others, but I think she would work well in a Mystery too.

If it was something like a Victoria era mystery than we' get both a period piece and also a mystery. That would be optimal.

Also, I would like to see her do a romance, maybe an indie romance where it's quirky. She definitely has that side to her and I'd like to see a movie built around that.
