Pic, described as an emotional romantic comedy, centers on a woman who must deal with the untimely death of her husband and the revelation of secrets he kept from her. Jenno Topping, who teamed with Grant on Col's Sandra Bullock (news) starrer "28 Days," is producing. Co-president of production Matt Tolmach is overseeing for the studio. "Catch and Release" marks Grant's helming debut. Besides "28 Days," the scribe's credits include the Oscar-winning "Erin Brockovich" and Paramount's upcoming CGI/live-action pic "Charlotte's Web," which Gary Winnick is directing. Garner was last seen in Revolution's laffer "13 Going on 30." She recently wrapped Fox's actioner "Elektra," based on the Marvel comic, in which she plays the title superhero.
