Starting a new thread! We were just talking about how it would suck if Varty and Jen were really broken up, seeing each other and having to be all...couple-ish on Alias would..well..suck. Any thoughts?

Victor and Jen! <3 them. lol I just hope it's not one of those things that makes an actor/actress leave the show. That would be...upsetting. I hate when they do that. Keep it together for the fans! *sob*

I don't know what article you read it in, but people who works at the set has said things are tense these days.

Obviously people are gonna believe whatever they want. I know I want to believe they're still together, but I'm not gonna deny the possibility of things actually being over.

Since they have to play a couple on Alias this season, I can only imagine things will be awkward at best. Imagine doing kissing and love scenes with someone you used to have sex with. Let's hope they manage to stay super-professional, suck it up and do it. And hey, if they're not together anymore (and maybe not all that happy about the other one - even though one knows the reason for the potential split), the SV scenes might get really passionate and hot.

I want to believe that they are still together. Did their reps confirmed about that? If they are not together, there's always a possibility of second chances you know since they are working together. I wish them the best.

Their reps have said nothing. And except for her "I'm single and boring" comment on the Aussie radio channel (what an awkward interview, btw), Jen and Michael hasn't said anything either. But, for instance, if it's over, where is she living? And why has no one bothered to find out and snap pictures of her leaving said place? There are lots of unanswered questions, but judging by set reports and general rumors, it looks like it's over.

I'm with you on the back together, Abby. I want to hope for that as well. Heh, I can't help it, but for some reason I want these two to be together. Why I care, I can't answer.

Yup, that's the big question. Things were going so well, people reported seeing them all over each other when he was visiting in Vancouver (which was pretty often) and then *bam!* things seem to be over. Definitely looks like a sudden, unexpected and ugly split. And that makes it so much more interesting to know what happened. I, for one, am supercurious.

It seems weird to me too. Maybe the Ben Affleck rumours were true? Although I still doubt it, it'd make sense as to why they finished so suddenly. ::shrugs:: Or maybe the rumours weren't true, but Michael heard them , so perhaps annoying him?

I'm just curious.. have you guys heard anything about the split from a credible source like People Magazine or something of that nature?

Just wondering because the only place where I've seen reports of the alleged split are in tabloids. Take Us Weekly for example: They've recently reported that Justin/Cameron broke up, which resulted in Cameron Diaz calling Us to dispell the rumor. Then they reported that Kate Hudson and her husband were on the rocks, and now she's spoken to them saying that it's not true. I'm detecting a bit of a pattern here... and I'm not even going to acknowledge the Ben Affleck thing. I really think it's just absurd.

Rumors of them breaking up always pop up when there isn't any news about them. Have there been ANY paparazzi pics of Jen or Michael out and about in L.A. since their movies wrapped and they began filming Alias again? The only shots I can think of are the Jen pics from the set of Alias.

Jen and Michael don't want to be seen, we know this for a fact... so it's not a surprise to me when we don't see pics of them.

Also, does anyone know where Jen's living now a days? I think we would've heard something if she bought her own house and was no longer living with Michael.

Pardon me if I'm a bit skeptical of the "break up." I just haven't seen any hard proof... if anyone has any... I'm not sure I'd want you to share, lol. (Just kidding, of course.)

This is a big part of why I'm not sure about this yet either. There has already been a big interest from the papz on the set. She's been at work for about a week and already there are two sets of pics of her. Yet no one has followed her "home" and shot pictures of her. That's weird to me. I agree that we would've known about it if she bought a house. She could be staying at a friend's, hotel, renting a house or whatever, but I still feel that we would've heard about it by now. But to turn things around, why hasn't anyone followed her to Michael's house to confirm them still being together if she's living there? Wow, these photographers sure know how to confuse us.

Under normal conditions there would've been paparazzi pictures of Jen and Michael, though. Even though they're very private, someone always catches them. Of course, could be they're just staying inside a lot these days when not on the set. It's not like there are a lot of pictures of them separately either. I agree that there are always rumors about them breaking up when the press is low. This time the breakup rumors have sort of stuck, though. Normally they'd be toned down within a few days. They sure make things complicated for us all, being so sneaky.

Is People Magazine a credible source, btw? I didn't think it was. Except for the recycled comments from all over the place, I haven't seen anything setting anything in stone in the media. All I've heard is a reliable source saying things are tense at the set these days. This person did not want to say that things were over, cause no one has really confirmed anything on the set either. Actions sometimes speak louder than words, though and from the looks of it all, things are apparently not like they use to be with the two of them. But hey, could be they're just having a huge ass fight these days.

We don't have anything confirmed, but my God it's fun to speculate. The people who do know the truth obviously won't share on the internet anyway. No matter what it is. I'm talking friends, family, themselves...

It's so weird, cause in some ways I sort of believe they've broken up, but at the same time I don't. Too many things don't make sense in both directions, heh.

Saying things are "intense" could totally be someone's impression. Everyone has a different impression on things. I'm not putting too much value in that.

Not intense. Tense. Of course you can believe what you want, but if you go to FT and read this poster's posts, you'll get more of it. It's not just one person's opinion. The mood is off on the set. Not the happy and fun atmosphere like usual and everyone is just going with the flow, so to speak, and not talking about "it". There's a difference between thinking something to oneself or observing an entire cast and crew's behavior. There's a limit to how different people's impression can be. Things are tense and awkward and there are lots of whispering and "not talking" about the situation. That's simply a fact. If this person is reliable in the first place, that is. Which she seems to be, though. Whether things turn out to be one way or another it's definitely interesting to get these mood-reports from the set.

I feel that we would've heard something too if she was staying somewhere else. Your guess is as good as mine as to why the paparazzi don't just follow her after Alias. I'm wondering the same thing myself.

THANK YOU!!! I'm kind of the "leader" of all my friends that watch Alias and every single one of them has come to me and asked me if that was true. I'm like.. COME ON, guys.. You've got to be kidding me, lol.

The lack of photographs doesn't mean anything to me, I don't know why. Do you have any idea how often pap. pics show up of her? Just asking cause I really don't know. I think maybe it seems a lot longer because Jen has been in Canada for a large portion of the summer and it's my understanding that things are a bit more relaxed up there. It's just a theory, though.

How long has Jen been back in L.A.? A couple weeks? A month? I do agree that normally we would get some type of shot, alone or together of either of them... But maybe they're both just working really long hours and right after they're done with work they go home.

All this speculation is driving me crazy, lol!! I need to finish packing since I'm leaving for college.. lets see.. in FOUR hours but here I am talking about Jen and Michael, LOL. That says a lot about me.. and I'm thinking it might not be too healthy, hah.

I consider People a pretty credible source when compared to Us Weekly, Star, In Touch, etc., don't you? I didn't mean to say that everything in the magazine is true... but I am more willing to believe a story run in People than a story run in Us Weekly.

Of course, I'm a little skeptical of your source.. because, hey, I don't know them. Would you believe me if I told you that a very credible source I know saw them cuddling .. or that my source said they were having a discussion and things looked.. well.. tense, for lack of a better word, lol. Well, I can't say if you'd believe me because I'm not you.

I'm not saying that your source is wrong or a crack pot or something, I'm just in Super Duper Agent Scully mode these days about everything I hear regarding J/M. There are just too many rumors and I've made the decision to believe they're still together until I get official word.

I wish some other people would do the same thing. At some of the message boards I go to, there could be a story- good or bad- in a magazine called "We Make Stuff Up About Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan" and they would still freak out about it. I do say that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. but when I say that.. I mean people intelligent and independent enough to form their OWN opinion about things.. am I making sense?

I just wish that they would let us know. Just end all the rumors because, frankly, I'm sick of them. If they're together, fantastic, I hope they're happy. If they've broken up, well, not so fantastic because I love them together but, still, I hope they're happy. And if they are broken up, it's okay. I'm not going to say that I wouldn't be disapointed but life goes on. The world doesn't revolve around Jen and Michael dating. I really wish some people (not anyone here) would realize that, lol.

Me neither. I just ignored this rumor, as others that have been appeared about their split like each month this year. When I posted the link to the article, I said that I don’t know how reliable this source is. I’m not from US and I have no idea about which source is more reliable, which is not. So sorry if I gave the wrong impression. I still hope that they’re together, and won’t believe about this stupid split until their rep or Jen/ & / Michael confirm it.
