No Jimmy is not friends with them. But he did that video with Ben a couple of years ago, which was very funny (it was a response to a video with Matt Damon and Jimmy's then girlfriend Sarah Silverman). So they enrolled Jen in this new one.

Burbank, CA, United States (AHN) – One movie star will be receiving the accolades he was Bourne to get.

Actor Matt Damon is scheduled to be the recipient of the 24th American Cinematheque Award March 27 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel’s International Ballroom in Beverly Hills, Calif. Presenting the honor will be Ben Affleck, Damon’s good friend and frequent co-star, with whom he shares a Best Original Screenplay Oscar for the script to 1997’s "Good Will Hunting," in which both headlined.

Joining Affleck in paying homage to the "Green Zone" star will be his wife, Jennifer Garner, and comedienne Sarah Silverman, who teamed with Damon for a viral video as a prank on her then boyfriend, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel, who references Damon on nearly episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," will also be in attendance, as will numerous personalities with whom the actor has worked, including Casey Affleck, Don Cheadle, Clint Eastwood, Greg Kinnear, Charlize Theron and Robin Williams.

Actors George Clooney and Ben Stiller will give tribute to the actor in their own individual pre-taped comic sketches during the ceremony. Likewise, another short film to be played at the event will denote Damon’s humanitarian efforts, as narrated by former President Bill Clinton.

The ceremony, which is expected to see a turnout of more than 1,000 people, will be broadcast on ABC at a later date. This is the first year in the American Cinematheque’s nearly 30-year history that the award has had this level of exposure.

I have read in the Italian edition of Vanity Fair that Jen and Ben were approached to have Violet pose for kids products (don't know if it was clothes or something else), that Jen thought of agreeing but that Ben refused. Don't know if it's true as I have never read anything like it in US press. But I wouldn't be surprised if they had been asked because she is so lovely and expressive.

That's great to hear about the American Cinematheque Award it's actually being held close to my house but the tickets were far too expensive.

About the clothing ad, that doesn't surprise me either if it is true for the reason you stated and also because she seems to have no fear of anything, she seems very adaptable.

But I think it's better that they turned down the offer, if true. Her parents are both actors and both famous. She must be aware of something by now, what with paps around her/them almost every day (I thought a law had been passed about them staying away from schools). Though I liked her question to Jen about "Jennifer Garner". But she has already been on film sets.
