Perhaps not, but I still expected better of him. He's an A List actor who really doesn't take care of himself while there are women who have to diet and exercise all the time to land roles.

Leo is supposed to be a washed-up over the hill scientist, who cried wolf one too many times and the media/academia basically ridicule him. i think the look is for the character.
