Deadpool 2 is the only film I've seen this year. But it's not Jen's fault. The box office is down across the board in Hollywood. Damn internet is killing the industry.

That was shortly before the Age of Apocalypse. Mystique was hanging around X-Factor and trying to get her claws into Storm's ex. Forge. Mystique in the comics is a supremely manipulative figure. You can't believe a word she says and she's always got an agenda. She's Nightcrawler's mother, Rogue adoptive mother and mother of human mutant-hater Graydon Creed (Sabretooth's son), who she shot herself.

Before Mystique gets her own movie, Disney will own Fox and will reboot the X-Men, which means recasting Mystique. Dark Phoenix is likely to be the last film with Jen's Mystique.

Jen's Mystique is so far from the Mystique I knew in the comics that just about all they have in common is blue skin. I don't recognize the character. Of course Bryan Singer started it with the naked Mystique nonsense for Romjin's version. The difference between Romjin's version and the classic comic version, apart from wearing clothes, is that the comic version had a personality and wasn't a martial arts expert, relying on trickery rather than fighting skills.
