I think you would remember the disgusting scenes of pregnant women bursting open all over the place if you saw the second one

Yeah, and again, the comics were better. I don't know what Fox was thinking setting those AVP movies on Earth in the present day. The Aliens vs. Predator comic series was in the future in the same universe as Ridley Scott and James Cameron's two movies.

AVP was the biggest load of bull under the sun. Stick two annoying franchises together for cheap kicks and what do you get? One big ing mess.

yeah, I went to the cinema to see it and couldn't believe my eyes. I was pregnant just before that and I'm really thankful it wasn't at the same time

I agree. And again, the Aliens vs. Predator comic book series from Dark Horse comics was much better. Dark Horse really did a good job with their Aliens series and the Aliens vs. Predator series because they kept it in the same future world that Ridley Scott, James Cameron, and futurist designers Ron Cobb and Syd Mead created, along with artist H.R. Giger and the late special effects wizard Stan Winston. But the movies did what they always do, take a comic and tear it to shreds.

And yeah, that part with the maternity ward and all the pregnant women being implanted with alien embryos was just ten kinds of wrong. It wasn't horrifying, it was mean-spirited and repugnant to have those women and their babies killed by the chestbursters. Yeah, the filmmakers thought it was some kind of irony that those women who were pregnant got "impregnated" with the alien embryos, but it was still just gross and unnecessary. It made me angry, not scared.

I saw the two AVP films, but I remember very little of them. Just that they were garbage basically.

Did you ever read the comics, sum1? Dark Horse Comics may not be as big as Marvel or DC, but they did a lot of titles based on popular science fiction movies and television shows. Aliens, Terminator, Robocop, Predator, Aliens vs. Predator, Army of Darkness, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Thing, etc.

I'd had experience with Dark Horse Comics. Not good experience.

Oh, sorry. I briefly read Image Comics(home of The Walking Dead) during the Spawn, Youngblood, Wild C.A.T.S., Savage Dragon, Cyberforce, Shadowhawk era in the early 1990's. But I quickly tired of it.

Dark Horse did (crappy) Star Wars comics through the '90s and until about 2012. They also did Joss Whedon's horrible Buffy Season 8 comics. Just about the only thing they did right was reprint Marvel's Conan comics, but they couldn't even do that right, recolouring them and leaving out the covers.

Image. :spits:

Wow, tough room. Well, I still appreciated their Aliens, Terminator, Predator, and The Thing comics.

Oh, question... is Fassy an android in this, or is he human this time?
