Well, I guess it all depends on who's writing him. I actually preferred it when he was able to walk. I felt that making him bound to a wheelchair was a bit stereotypical.

That was also better done in First Class than in the comics tbh

Well, I did like Charles in First Class.

I think the comics got the walking Xavier right a few times, perhaps not all the time.
