James is playing Bill, so he's already been cast. Unless if you mean the character of Ben, then he hasn't been cast yet.

If it matters, I only like some of his stuff, not all.

Carrie, The Shining, Salem's Lot, Cycle of the Werewolf, Night Shift Collection, Skeleton Crew Collection(especially The Mist), IT, The Dead Zone, Different Seasons Collection(especially The Body), and Creepshow. I don't care for his other stuff. I liked the first half of The Stand, but not the latter half.

And to be honest, I've liked some his films/tv. The Shining movie, Kingdom Hospital, etc.

How about Stand By Me or The Shawshank Redemption? Those were both based on Stephen King books, his few non-horror dramas.

And is James McAvoy old enough to have been 13 in 1989?

Clarke Peters. He's the guy who played Freamon in The Wire. He was so good. Great show. He was in Jessica Jones too, but unfortunately got killed off.
