I hope everyone is having a happy Easter weekend! OMG, are we almost through yet another OT thread?

That sounds great, Dave! :) That would all make for a great Easter feast.

I remember loving the food that my grandmother would make after the traditional Ukrainian basket blessing. This is what Ukrainian Easter eggs called "pysanky" look like. The traditional Ukrainian Easter basket would be filled with candles, pysanky, paska, kielbasa, Cabanossi, and Easter candy. :) The priest would bless the baskets with holy water and incense.

This is the traditional Ukrainian Easter bread called "paska," which is bread filled with white raisins:

Tired  and hate being broke for another month with a week left with only hot cereal|pasta. Don't even have milk and sugar for tea, drinking black tea

I hope so too :bubble: just sucks a payment went out last week and barely got half of it back only from bad customer service from the bank where sup gave me a credit

Also the cravings :thud: chocolate and turkey :thud: any munchies [no not partaking 4/20 where decided need to stop that even if don't find it addictive where can do it but than not do it with no problem]

Aww, I'm sorry, Sarah. :( Why did you only get half back? Can you get the rest back?

Wow, chocolate and turkey? Those are some odd cravings. ;) I'm gonna go easy this Easter.

the baskets remind me of home, my old home I mean

Technically didn't get any of it back related to the pre-authorized loan payment that was taken. It was a credit from a supervisor that I got which equaled pretty much half related to having had 3 bad experiences on the bank's chat support

I'm glad I could bring some memories for you, Rita. :) I guess you mean Transylvania? I would assume that Romanian Easter is similar to Ukrainian Easter.

Man, that sucks, Sarah. :( I remember how long it took for me to get out of debt and it was frustrating. I just hope you don't have to pay too much more.

Yeah, most Eastern European traditions are similar

Credit card is getting up there :pout:

PhoenixRising 04-20-2019 03:19 PM

Ugh, I've been there before as well, Sarah. I had student loan debt and credit card debt, and I owned about ten thousand dollars combined. But I'm debt free now, so I know you can be too.

Yes they are, Rita. My co-mod on The Borgias board is Bulgarian, and she has a lot of the same traditions.
