The way you two THINK you measure the seasons in the US. I've come across plentty Americans who measure them the same way I do.

If we go by the school year than yes summer is June, July and August, that's when kids are out of school. If we go by the seasons the summer equinox starts on June 21st and ends on September 22nd.

My city doesn't care about seasons, we can have snow in May and have 80 degree weather in November. We most joke that we two seasons, the winter season and the construction season.

That's not the seasons, that's astronomy. The astronomical definition of summer. June/July/August is the meterological definition of summer. Both are used in America.

I got my information from Bing... and that's true...a lot of Americans Unofficially measure the calendar dates of the four seasons

Even in America...the mid-west and West doesn't get as much snow and rain...so they might measure it differently

We do recognize that the Summer months are June, July and August. It just mattered more when we were in school.

However not many of care what the official date of the seasons are. That's just what our calendars say.

I judge the seasons by the weather.... if there are more than 5 days of Snow or below 40 F degrees in April... then April is still Winter to me....

I actually like Fall the best
