I feel I can talk more freely here, anyway. When I'm on The Avengers board I'm afraid I'm way too critical.

I've constantly ranted about how Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne got shafted by the MCU, and why they had to make Peter Parker a teenager AGAIN, when he hasn't been a teen in the comics since the Nixon administration.

I liked Peter Parker though in Civil War

he was adorkable in the few scenes he got - though isn't it all copyright aka why we are getting so many versions. They couldn't have Andrew cause of studios are different or whatever - I liked Andrew though

Yeah, but Andrew played him as a teenager as well, remember?

Peter was a teenager in the comics from 1964 to 1974, when he graduated from college shortly after the death of Gwen Stacy. He was 21 then, and he's been a twentysomething superhero all through the late 70's, the 80's, 90's, and 2000's. I think he's supposed to be in his late 20's now.

Remember, a comic book comes out only once a month, so these characters don't age the way we do in real life.

And most of the best Spider-Man stories are the ones where he's a 20-something adult, so I don't know why Hollywood keeps making him a kid all the time.

guess they think the best material is using him as a High School student

Uhh, I can tell you that it isn't.

The material with him as a high school student is waaaaaay out of date, Sarah. Like I said, he was a teen back in the 1960's, but he's been a 20-something since 1974-75. And if you look at the stories they've been using, all of them are from Peter's adulthood. Peter wasn't a teenager during Civil War, he was in his 20's and already married to Mary Jane Watson by then. And pretty much all of the best Spider-Man stories - Venom, Kraven's Last Hunt, Spider-Clone, Gwen Stacy's death, his marriage to Mary Jane Watson, Infinity Gauntlet, Civil War, Sinister Six, the Hobgoblin, The Black Cat, etc. are all from Peter's 20's. I'm a comic fan and trust me, Marvel is wasting their time keeping Peter a damn teenager.

Yeah, but Willem didn't play the character right. The Green Goblin didn't wear some Iron Man style outfit.

The way he was played in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was actually closer to the character in the comics. I personally prefer the Hobgoblin, but that's just me.

I wish they had kept Green Goblin dead in the comics after Gwen Stacy's death.

That storyline ended perfectly.
