There are only 2 Wolverine movies so it's not like being someone's favorite Wolverine movie is much of an accomplishment for the movie makers though.

I decided to post this info/question in this thread too. I would like your opinions guys and gals. Hugh said in an interview a few days ago that the main reason he's leaving the role other than the obvious negative effects of the diet/training on his health, is because his gut feeling told him it was the right time because fans may soon grow very tired of him. His body language when talking about this actually seems like he already thinks people are tired of him... and he doesn't want to overstay his welcome by fans in the movies.
I get that he wants to leave while still reasonably beloved by fans rather than as a burn out who people are tired of, but I wonder if fans have been telling him in person they are getting sick of him. I'm certainly not getting tired of him playing the character. He made it clear he had wanted smaller roles in the films anyway. If Wolverine is in the movie, it could have been small parts in future movies but I'd want Hugh in the role still. Were any of you ladies tired of him? You can tell he genuinely just wanted to please the fans. I think he proved over the years in a lot of ways that it wasn't about money for him. He wanted to make fans happy.  __________________

never will get tired of Hugh cause he's perfect as Wolverine but he should go down to small role of Wolverine or cameos cause of his health. Worried over his health__________________

I don't think it's because fans are getting tired of him. But it's more of maybe it's time to re-think and focus on different characters now? Because I think he will still continue on doing Wolverine even if people are tired of him. I don't think Hugh is the type to listen to such a critique and let it affect his decision on making movies. He's been doing this role for more than 10 years now. I think a part of him wants to move on from this franchise.
